A licensed real estate appraiser in Georgia and South Carolina, Neill McDonald is nationally recognized both as an appraiser of large land tracts and for his appraisal work in the City of Savannah. Neill's clients range from federal, state and local governments and agencies to public and private companies, lending institutions, trust departments, and individuals.

Many of his clients benefit from his strong background in rezoning, subdivision and land planning. When International Paper was the largest private landowner d uring the last decade, Neill assisted them in marketing thousands of acres of undeveloped properties in the Savannah region. In addition, Neill offers considerable experience in consultation- and litigation-related assignments.

• Member, Chatham Urban Transportation Study Policy Committee, 1991-95
• President, Savannah Area Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, 1994
• Member, Fair Housing Citizen Advisory Committee, City of Savannah, 1997-98
• Member, Board of Governors, Bethesda Home for Boys (oldest operating children’s home in the United States), 2000-2004
• Connecting Savannah Workshop Committee, 2004
• Member, Appraisal Standards Committee, Appraisal Institute (a national appointment), 2008-10

The Appraisal Institute conducts a voluntary program of continuing education, awarding periodic educational certification to members of the Institute who meet the program standards. Neill is currently certified under this program.

Over the years, Neill has taken time to become actively involved with both the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America. He has served as president of the St. Andrew's Society of the City of Savannah and has been president of the Savannah Scottish Games since 2005 - he even wears a kilt.....but not on appraisal assignments.
