Crescent Dune is located on the Southern end of Lake Michigan at the point of greatest erosion on the entire lake. At times, the erosion rate is 10 feet per year. Of course, this rate is not a steady rate; it is related to lake water levels, storm frequencies, storm intensities, etc.
